The heat here has been unbearable with the heat index at 109 degrees or higher. They’ve had heat advisories telling outside workers to go inside, it’s not healthy to work outside today. So yeah, it’s HOT!! LOL.

The author has woven a fast paced erotica romance. All of the characters are intelligent, and well rounded individuals. Like other reviewers of her book, I hope she continues the story.

The rain has finally slowed down a bit. Even though we needed it quite badly, it rained for two weeks straight. Flash floods and local flooding were taking place. I have to tell you that when it pours here in Florida. It pours! I have never seen rain come down so heavy in any other place I’ve lived.

So the water ban has been lifted in several areas, so people can water their lawns. The humidity is still hanging around. I just don’t think that’s one thing I’ll ever get used to here. I don’t mind heat, but the humidity kills me J

I finally had the chance to buy this book during my busy, crazy thing I call a life J in hard cover no less and at RT in April. Not only buy it, but the lovely Ms. Santiago signed it for me! Thanks Lara!!!!

Like all of Lara’s books that I’ve read, I LOVED IT!!!! Lara is a fantastic writer who gets you right into the action, grips you by the eyeballs and doesn’t let go until your done reading the book and leaves you wanting more!

~ NEWS ~

Well, it’s starting to get hot and humid here in Florida. The snowbirds are going home and the beach combers are coming back. It hasn’t rained in awhile, so we’re on a water ban, only one day a week to water lawns and plants, by hose and by hand, not with a sprinkler.

You know what I do. If I have any water left over in my water bottle, instead of dumping it down the drain, I water the house plants. I also have a water bucket/barrel, and when I’m waiting for the hot water to heat up, I catch the cold water, and barrel it, to use later with the indoor and outdoor plants.

In the last month, I’ve moved and started a new job, day job that is. Yeppers, I don’t like to be a starving artist. I like to eat, even though I’m trying to lose a few pounds, LOL.

The RT Convention this year in Orlando, was AWESOME!! I’m not an RT Virgin anymore, *Yay me*.  I had a great time, met new friends, and connected with old. So although exhausted by the time I arrived back home, I’d do it again!! I’m gearing up for next year in Ohio!

While at RT, I had the pleasure of reading…The Desert Lord’s Baby, by Olivia Gates. It’s a Harlequin

Series, and I have to say no wonder it won an RT award!! I know I’ll be buying the other two books.

I also met Ms. Gates, and every time I saw her, she had a smile.

~ STRESS RELIEF ~

Everyone has those favorite little tricks to help relax their brains. When I just want to veg and be calm, I like planting things. Getting my hands into and smelling the fresh soil does wonders for my stress relief.
